Meet Our Dentist

Dr. Christopher J. Karas 106Christopher J. Karas, DDS

Dr. Christopher J. Karas earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University Dental School. He has been the owner of Karas Dental in Elroy since 2004. Four years later, he expanded his practice and purchased our office in Necedah, Wisconsin.

Dr. Karas is accomplished in all procedures of general dentistry, and he is currently working towards a degree that will make him a specialist in cosmetic dentistry. The artist in Dr. Karas makes him an excellent cosmetic and restorative dentist. Professionally, Dr. Karas is a member of the American Dental Association and the Wisconsin Dental Association.

When not at work, you will find him spending time with his two daughters, biking, swimming, running, or supporting one of his favorite Wisconsin sports teams.

Nancy W. 115Nancy, Treatment Coordinator

Nancy became a member of the Karas Dental team in 2009. Bringing 14 years of dental experience to our office, Nancy consistently helps our patients find the answers they need about their dental care. Through her continuing education courses and dedication to providing patient education, Nancy has the knowledge needed to help patients make informed decisions. She loves working with a dentist who has such high standards and with our wonderful patients and staff.

Nancy graduated from BlackhawkTechnicalCollege with a degree in dental assisting. She is married and has two adult children. Her hobbies include camping, reading, and scrapbooking.

Dianne J. 116Dianne, Treatment Coordinator

For 37 years, Dianne has worked at Karas Dental. She enjoys working with such educated and caring people who all try their best to please our patients. In addition, Dianne loves seeing her patients get their dental work done and their happiness with the work we’ve done. As one of our treatment coordinators, she works closely with our patients to help them throughout the financial process so they can achieve the affordable and healthy smile that they deserve.

Dianne is a graduate of Royall High School. She and her husband, Gordon, have been married for 26 years and are the proud parents of 25-year-old twins, Adam and Ashley. When not at work, you may find Dianne working in her garden and flowerbeds or volunteering in her church

Bobbie M. 107Bobbie, Dental Assistant

Bobbie has been a dental assistant at our dental practice since 1995. The patients here have become like her family and she enjoys getting to know each person’s dental needs and goals. Bobbie does whatever she can to ensure that each patient has a comfortable and positive experience while at our office. Bobbie takes pride in working with an exceptional doctor and his high-quality work ethic.

When she has free time, Bobbie enjoys spending time with her husband and their three teenage boys. Some of Bobbie’s hobbies include spending time outdoors, genealogy, collecting old recipe books, cooking, and reading.

Katie L. 100Katie L., Dental Hygienist

Katie is a 2003 graduate of MATC-Madison, and she has been a dental hygienist at Karas Dental since 2006. She loves the family feel of the office and working with a team whose goal is to provide exceptional dental care to every patient. In her spare time, Katie enjoys being with her husband and their two boxers. She also enjoys reading, shopping, and baking.

Deb P. 101Deb, Registered Dental Hygienist

One of the longstanding staff members, Deb has worked as a dental hygienist at our practice since 1993. She enjoys working with the members of the Karas Dental team and sharing close relationships with them. “Together our team provides the best possible treatment for each and every patient.” Deb’s spare time is spent with her daughters, Danielle and Taylor.

Katie R. 110Katie R., Certified Dental Assistant

Katie joined the Karas Dental team in May of 2010 shortly after graduating from the Dental Assistant Program. She truly enjoys working in a dental office where the staff is like family and everyone cares so much about the patients. Katie strives to make every patient feel comfortable during their dental treatments. “I help the doctor however I can so he can get quality time with the patients.” Katie will be returning to hygiene school in the fall of 2013.
Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and their bulldog. She also likes to go camping and snowboarding, and she enjoys planting flowers.

Ashley H. 112Ashley Haas, Certified Dental Assistant

Ashley is a graduate of the WTC La Crosse Dental Assisting program. In 2011, she joined the Karas Dental team. She loves working in a dental practice where everyone wants to find the best treatment and provide the best care for every patient. Ashley’s goal is to make every patient feel comfortable and to work efficiently with the doctor so time spent with the patient is quality time.
Away from the office, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family on the farm she grew up on just south of Sparta, Wisconsin, as well as with her two dogs, Oakley and Lucy. She also loves the outdoors and enjoys bow hunting, horseback riding, gardening, and camping.

Amy K. 120Amy Karas, Office Administrator

Amy joined the Karas Dental team in 2010. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she earned her degree in nutritional sciences. Amy loves working in a dental practice where the staff truly cares for every patient. “Dr. Karas has a very high standard of practice and that trickles down to the rest of the staff.”

Amy is married and has two children. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching her children’s sporting events.

Cindy – Dental Hygienist
Cindy graduated from the MATC Madison Dental Assisting Program in 2000 and five years later from the Dental Hygiene Program. In June of 2005 she joined the Karas Dental staff. She loves her job as a hygienist and feels that it shows in how she treats her patients. Cindy strives hard to make patients feel comfortable and really enjoys working in a small community where the patients feel like family. Cindy is married to Kirk. Her hobbies include gardening, camping, kayaking and running.
